Our organization is dedicated to the United States Tennis Association's (USTA's) mission:
"To Promote and Develop the Growth of Tennis Throughout our State."
USTA New England, one of 17 regional sections across the country that comprise the United States Tennis Association (USTA), is a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting and developing the growth of tennis and increasing participation in the sport throughout the six-state region, by offering quality recreational and competitive programs for people of all ages and abilities. Founded i 1927 as the New England Lawn Tennis Assocaition, USTA New England now boasts nearly 34,000 individual members, 650 organizational members and a professional staff of 19.
USTA New England is a volunteer based organization. More than 500 volunteers serve on state and sectional committees, assist with tournaments and special events, captain teams and support community tennis activities. A State Assocaition represents each of the seven areas in New England: Connecticut, Maine, Eastern Massachusetts, Western Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
